A blog should be inner most thoughts, but people that read this probably shouldn't be reading my inner most thoughts.
I REALLY want the promotion at work, but I want to not want it so much since I don't think I'm going to get it. I think I should get it. I've been a manager before and I think I have the maturity and nature to make a good shiftleader. But, there are a lot of qualified people, and even though I think I'm up there, it's pretty likely that someone else will get it. I guess the thing to do is not worry about it. If I don't get it, then things won't really change. But if I do, the extra little money alone will sort out a lot of problems for me. Not that I want it from a financial point of view, I want it since it's a progression and that's a good thing. I'll never run my own store if I don't start progressing.
Nothing to do but wait for the interview, do the best I can and see.
