The Promotion
Puts on a deep Hollywood announcer voice
There is a place, where books are sold and people who sell them. For this group of people, this day would be like no other. For one of these colleagues will be given.... The Promotion.

Sorry. So yeah, the interviews are done, the questions answered, the speculation started and finished and the day has arrived.
Today we find out who the new shift leader will be. I was pretty confident after the interview. I think my experience in management put me in good stead. But now I'm not so confident. I was asked if I was still interested in going to another store to help with the opening and I'm almost positive that shift leaders don't go to those things. Why would Madhavi ask me if I'm still interested to leave the store less than a week after getting promoted? BUT maybe I'm wrong. At this point I think it's 99 percent certain that I haven't got it.
So who should get it? Who knows? It was quite an extensive field and I'm, sure they had to think long and hard. I'm sure they made the right decision for the store and I'll resepct that and I'll, although be sad, will be happy for the new shiftleader and I'll do whatever I can to help their new role.
