So it now seems slightly less likely that I'll get the promotion at work. Like it wasn't enough to have to compete for the position with at least 5 qualified people, I now have to contend with the fact that the manager of the store where the other posisiton opened up, which meant one of our people would leave our store and I'd go for his job, has already made up her mind that she's going to make an internal promotion.

It sounds like she was just going through the motions when she iterviewed other people. Which also means, I don't really want to transfer to a store where there's that kind of mentality.

BUT I do wonder what would happen at our store if someone from another store applied for the open position in our store. Would my manager be openminded enough to interview them? Yeah, I think she would and if they were the best fir for the role, she would hire them, even if it meant annoying the current staff.
